Maternity allowence amount changed?

I got my maternity allowance payment this week and noticed that it seems to have gone up slighlty which i didnt expect?
I was receiving £451 every 4 weeks (£112.75 a week) but received £454.80 this time? (equivalent of £113.70 a week) Has anyone else had this? Or know why?
The new amount according to the budget for 2008 is £117.18 (which i had assumed was for new claims only) but wouldnt tally with what i received anyway? Im very confused!
Only thing i could think of was that its going up to £117.18 for everyone which is £4.43 a week more...... so could it be the amount went up midway through a week so i got a partial weeks payment. I.e. 3 and a bit weeks @ 112.75 and a couple of days at £117.18?
I know its only £3.80 difference from what i was expecting... but if the amount has gone up to the £117.18 for existing claimants too thats nearly £20 a month im better off which i wasnt expecting so will make a big difference to my budget!
If its not... then i wonder why ive been given that £3.80?! Hmm...

The changes are effective from the 6th April so yes, this payment will be made up from both amounts.
