ETF's and Investment Trust

Hi,
I'm seriously considering investing my money in ETF's and investment Trust, I am just wondering in if anyone who has any knowledge about this area of investment can anyone recommend any good books or website's I can check out?
Also in regards to ETF's, if I was interested in a particular area or sector , what can I do research wise, to decide if it is a good investment or not. I've been looking the internet and I can't find anything that makes sense
Frankly, it's driving me nuts. Help!!:eek:
