Could anyone recommend the best type of security software that I could get for my laptop! Something that would be easy to remove if for any reason I needed to de-install it.

Assuming the OP means protection from malware. They could also mean disk encryption.

Or go on ebay and buy a code from an authorised Kaspersky reseller for around £8.
Make sure you use the 30 days free first from the above link.

Problem can be that some of those codes are not legal on ebay . Some are commercial licences others 3 user licences . Kaspersky say they are aware of them and can choose to blacklist the keys if abused . Its a bit tricky Its a risk you have to take as it is my last licence was an £8 from ebay . I just did the WHSMITH trick and got a licence for £10 on Monday ( seem to have gone up today ) from Kaspersky themselves .

You just got to be carefull .
I can give links to the relevant topics on ebay sellers and blacklisted keys on the Kaspersky Forum . Basic advice from their is do not buy digital downloads and dont buy from China in regard to kaspersky products .
