I was on incapacity benefit till jan when i decided i would go back to work because i felt worthless...... i went for medical and originally signed off till aug 2008
As its a sales rep job i do i have been put under so much pressure etc that i am ready to crack again....and the practices i am being forced to sell are illegal
I have previous paperwork from jobcentreplus it seems if i go off on sick the work dont need to pay me ssp as i would get a sssp1 and reclaim incapacity benefit straight away....
Is this correct?????? I dont want the work to know i was on sick previously to be honest.
Dont know if i am better going on sick whilst still employed or handing in notice then go on sick straight away
Help

Hi foxyuk,
The paperwork is correct, if you are still in your 'linking period' you have to go back on to IB xGone ... or have I?0 -

i was in the same situation in december, i started work in october and by december was so ill i had to leave and go back on incapacity benefit, i got the linking period and claimed again, it takes a while around 5-6 weeks before they sort it out, they dont immediatly start paying you....
it was best for me at the time, but i lost alot of tax credits, back to work credit etc.
but in march i found a brilliant job, good money and i am loving it.
so maybe you to may find a better job while on benefits again !!
good luck !!0
