If there's no yeast in it I think you might mean soda bread :-

It tastes lovely but really needs to be used on the day you make it! Its ok for toast on the second day.:)Less is more0 -
Would it be possible to make soda bread with all whole meal flour rather than half wholemeal and half white?0

I knock up quick/instant breads quite often using just flour/water and a pinch of salt and teaspoon of sugar. Just make as much/little as you need by chucking some flour/salt/sugar into a bowl and adding water until it makes a firm dough. Then I just shape it so it's about 0.5-0.75" high and chuck it in a dry frying pan to heat up for about 10 minutes (not on full because you want to bake it, not burn it). You'll need to flip it over to brown both sides.
To just eat bread, or have bread rolls, I sometimes chuck in some rosemary or oregano. If I order an indian takeaway then I make up the dough before I go out to pick it up, then as soon as I come in I turn the pan on and fry/bake the bread (with some garlic in it sometimes) while I am serving up my meal.
The sugar's not even that important if you have none, but it does help the bread to brown.0 -
will give it a go0
