I'm just about to do this with a packet yeast. Is it worth bunging in a little dried milk for flavour?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

well I've had three goes now, and although each one is better than the last they all taste of yeast. I'm gonna try again later in the week with even less fresh yeast in, wish me luck :-)0

Okay, it's in the window with a teatowel over it.
When I bake it, I want to roast some veg at the same time. (Squash - 45 mins, sliced courgette, aubergine, pepper and onion maybe 20 minutes. Can I be faffing opening the oven for them at the same time or do I need to do them seperately?
Thanks.
Very exciting!
Doh, I'm just about to make some baked potatoes so I can do the veg with them. But it would be useful to know for next time!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Oooh, it's getting all big.
I'm a bit disappointed that I'm going out. LOL I'll have to wait till later to bake it!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
thriftlady can i ask how mush fresh yeast would i use in your soft bread rolls as i dont really like dried yeast and my rolls never seem to work
my bread on the other hand yummy, i have to make 2 at the sme time to stop my vultures eating the one for sarnies while its still warm lol
Delia reckons 'half an ounce (10g)' to 2 tsp easy-blend or dry yeast. 10g though is more like a third of an ounceI'd try the rolls with 1 ounce and see how you get on -or google a conversion chart
