Just save it to the d: drive or move the stuff from c to free space

    www.ccleaner.com

turn system restore off and back on, it might free some space up

Also if you are a total novice and want to move your My Documents folder to the other empty drive (assume your current full drive is C, and the new empty one is D).

Right click My Documents and choose Properties, then you can Move it to a folder on the D drive.

I suggest you first create a blank folder called My Documents on the D drive first, ready for the move.
  • Tell her to click on my computer, it will open into a new window
The drive she as been saving to is drive C, that is the one that's full.
There will be other drives in the my computer window.
One or two of them will be CD disc drives.
There will be another one with only a drive letter, click on this one and it should open into a window with nothing in it.
Take note of the letter of this drive.
Then when you are in a program such as word, you can write..Say a letter, and when it comes time to save the letter. Click, save as, in your file menu, in word. Then type the name of your letter. And at the top of this form, on the left hand side you will see a blank line with the words, save in, click on the little black arrow pointing down, click on it, a list will drop down.
Pick the letter you took note of, and it will fill the blank line up, then you can click on OK.
You can also drag some of your files off drive C into this drive you took note of,
JUST MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT SYSTEM FILES, ONLY THE FILES YOU CREATED.
    Hope that's what you asked.

    Ralph.
