Andrew Veritys New Property Program

Any idea when it's on? Can't seem to find any details. Andrew Verity is a 5 live presenter and saw the "crash" coming and sold his property late '07 and has been living in a rented place since.

He didn't have to be a genius to see it coming. The only people who didn't realise what was going to happen were the fools with their rose-tinted glasses thinking property is only a one way bet.

I think it is called "The truth about property". I (sort of) heard them talking about it this morning.

Next week i think they said, probably on BBC2 I would guess
I beep for Robins - Beep Beep
    & Choo Choo for trains!!

It ain't rocket scienece. The truth is it goes up and it then goes down (with a great deal of dependence on interest rate levels, lending income multiples, and lending levels)

and then it goes up again.......property is a long term investment.

The Consevatives are going to win the next election. If I say that every year for the next 10 years I'm probably going to be right and there are people who have been predicting a house price 'crash' for years.

there's only worthwhile statement about the economic long run, and it comes from Keynes.

if you'd have said the tories were going to win the next election every year for the 10 years from 1997, you'd have been wrong. Deduction is a very poor system of reasoning where externalities are concerned.

I'm with irnbru and m00m00 on this. I think he STR'd back in 2003 or 2004 and slightly regretted it.

He STR'd in 2004. In the last series he went back to the house he had sold in 2004, it had doubled in value or something ridiculous like that.

The new series is currently being filmed, but there's no broadcast date yet. You can watch the first series here:
