Looking for Youth event ideas for church?

I am starting to help with youth events at my local church, and would like some ideas for events that wont cost a fortune that teenagers will enjoy? :j

Can you take them on a walk around the area and make an en-route quiz in small teams where they have a question sheet and have to find the answers on the route.

Our pub does this as a charity event each year.

Questions were along the lines "what year did...." and you had to find a plaque on a house.

" what times are allowed for parking an street....."

"how much is the pay and display car park...."

"how much is ...... meal at ......"


If you have a kitchen facility in the church and not a huge number of kids you could have a pizza making evening, you supply the bases and the kids bring in toppings.

Ok a few questions...

Will you just be doing events? Is this a one off or part of a longer project? are you interested in group work activites / games etc too?

What is the purpose of the work with young people?

How old are the young people? How many do you envisage may attend?

What facilities do you have (ie. an indoor space, a sports pitch, any art materials, sports equipment, or anything else? or not?)

Please let me know and I will get back to you with some ideas.
