Proof of ID

Hi,

I'm going to open an account at Icesave, but I'm not a UK citizen. If I send them original copies of ID, e.g., my tax notice, will they send it back? I'm a bit worried since, apparently according to some posters here, they provide such appaling customer service.

Hi dayzman, I'm also not english and sent them an authenticated copy of my passport, which they returned right away. I also sent original for a bank statement and water bill, and they were also returned quite quickly.

I think they have a very good customer service (always nice people on the phone), their problem was in the last 2/3 weeks they got swamped with ISA applications, and that was too much for them to handle in the normal timing they were used to.
I haven't had to contact them since the "year end", but I'm sure it will have gone back to normal now.
