I knew the charges were coming. I checked my account just after the payment took me a few pounds over my agreed overdraft limit.
I received the letter from Abbey telling me I was to be charged twice and that the total was going to be £50! Polite words were not the first to leave my mouth...
The charges came out today and I rang them straight up.
Pressed all the relevant numbers to "speak to us about fees or charges" and simply asked if they could refund the recent fees on my account.

11 Apr 08 INTEREST AND CHARGES 0.46
11 Apr 08 INSTANT OVERDRAFT REQUEST FEE - PAID ITEM CARD PAYMENT TO SAINSBURYS LOCAL ON 2008-02-22 25.00
11 Apr 08 UNAUTHORISED OVERDRFT/INSTANT OVERDRFT MONTHLY FEE 25.00
I didnt want to push it and ask for the 46p interest...
