really annoyed with Barclaycard

Barclaycard keep authorising transactions and letting me go over my limit. We are talking about £1/2 over limit. I knew I was close to limit, but when the card payment was accepted I assumed that there was more money there than expected. Now they keep charging £12 for 'over the limit charge'.
Can then do this - charge for going over the limit when they have authorised each transaction?

Of course they can!
It's upto you to control your spending, before you actually spend it.
The charge you for going over the limit, because you go over your limit.
That's how they makes their money!

They LOVE IT when you go over your limit, they will be literally rubbing their hands together because they know they can slap another charge on!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
It's your responsibility to keep track of your spending - can you use a spending diary or similar to help? They will just keep sticking you with the interest, that's their mission! If they refused to authorise any over-spends they wouldn't make any money.0
