that link worked, so WHAT is a DNS problem please?

DNS is what translates the IP to a name and vice versa, I think as I am no expert.

But if you do this assuming you are using XP:

Navigate to "hosts" file @ C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Open it with notepad and it will look something like this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost

The add these two lines below "127.0.0.1 localhost" try and leave the same spaces:

217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.com
217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.co.uk

So it should look like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost
217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.com
217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.co.uk

If you wanted to dissable it later to see if problem has gone, just put a # before the two lines.
#217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.com
#217.114.172.48 www.pigsback.co.uk

If you wanted to block a site you would use this:
127.0.0.1 "and a web address"

While you are there does it have any other entries other than what is in my code section?

And you should get no more trouble, but this is just a work around and not sorting the real problem.
