Hi,
can anyone one tell me is it's possible to connect one Wii to 2 TVs at the same time, can it be done with just a simple cable?

I'd like to have the image on the 2 TVs at the same time. Also will I need a 2nd sensor bar?

thanks

Do you mean splitting the image to appear on two tvs (enlarged)? Or the same image on two tvs?

If it's splitting the image then placing the sensor bar between the two tvs should work. I don't think the bar would work with two seprate images on two screens.

What about a scart splitter, Here is a cheap one http://www.twenga.co.uk/offer/0109473068.html
  • dont think that would work as its 5 INPUTS to 1 OUTPUT as opposed to 1 INPUT to 5 OUTPUTS.
A cheap video sender would work or if you have an old video recorder lying with twin scarts you could plug wii into video and connect one tv to the scart on video and the other tv to the coax out. if you have a video with only one scart you could get a coax splitter and plug the wii into the scart and the splitter from the coax out with 2 cables going into the antenna input on the tv.
    Does that make sense?

It says that you can connect one source to 5 TV's or 5 sources to 1 TV so it would work.

wow thanks all for quick replies.

i'm looking to have the same image on both TVs, why you ask?

ok TV 1 is a the right height for watching when sitting down and also perfect for my 3 year son standing up.

But the Wii has got us all up and about, and playing tennis or golf I always seem to be looking down. So thought we'd get another TV and place it higher up.

This way we can all be stood up and have TVs at the right height :D

again thanks for quick reply. I don't think this would work even though it does say 1 input 5 outputs, I dont see how we could connect.

I think what I need is a scart female at one end and then spilt to 2 scart males at the other end. But don't know if a cable like this exists.

Scart cables are always male connectors. This would work. You would just need two x scart cables with it. Your Wii would plug straight into the splitter then the two cables from the splitter to the TVs. Just one if you use the built in one but the other cable would have to be fairly long.

    No that's the wrong device!

You need a video splitter thing which they use in eg Currys to display the same video over different screens.
