I just want someone else to say 'go for it'

in Credit cards
Hi people.
As the title says, I just want another 'go for it' on this:
I've just paid off my RBS CC. I virgin and abbey CCs also, which have balances as shown on my sig. RBS kept sending me balance transfer offers while I was taking the large chunks out of the balance, ignored them until now. I've got a 6 month 0% offer on them. I could transfer the balance to the virgin card, and have that paid off next month, so I would just have around 950 0% on RBS, then the abbey card. The abbey card is run now by santander cards, so I was hopeing MBNA (virgin) would give me a good balance transfer deal for that when I ring up to 'cancel' the card when it's got 0 balance next month.
What do you guys reckon? I think it's a good idea, especially seen as I can get 0% without any credit search, and Abbey just upped the APR (to 19.9 from 15.9)
Thanks

you guys are too slow

gone ahead with the 0% transfer dealOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
You need to consider the short period of 0% (6mths) the fees it will cost to move the funds, can you pay it off in the 0% offer period?
If there is any dought then apply for a card with a longer 0% offer period to make your finances more flexable, like Virgin 0% for 15 months.Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0 -
well I wasn't wanting to apply for a new credit card because I wanted to apply for a 0% MBNA card to clear cahoot (see sig) also, I'm hopefully buying a house soonish so want as little searches on my file as possible. Also, as you can see from my OP and my sig, I've already got the Virgin card, that's the one I'm transferring the balance from lol. The 3% fee is about £28, well worth 6 months interest free. The plan is to pay this off in 6 months, and as soon as virgin is clear, (mid may) ask them for a new deal
cheers for reply anyhow Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

It wouldn't have mattered that you already had the Virgin (MBNA) card (I assume you can hold one of each at the sae time). You could have paid the MBNA one into your current account at the same rate and then used that to repay the Virgin card.
Anyway, all that matters is that you're happy with it and that you're sure it will save you money. Any improvements can be made next time around.0 -
ok, but I didn't want to repay the Virgin card with the MBNA card.... I don't even have the MBNA card yet... I don't want to get a new card to pay of virgin.... that was the point....... And the chances of me getting an MBNA card with a 10k limit are fairly slim I would say..... people don't read posts properly do they... lol cheers anywayOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0

Or perhaps people don't write them properly.;) ("I've already got the Virgin card, that's the one I'm transferring the balance from")0

Sorry, I don't see what point you're making there...... you where suggesting I transfer from my virgin card to a card I don't have, the initial person who responded suggested I get the virgin card to pay off my virgin card.............. there's nothing wrong with my writing... lmao
I got 0% from a card I already have, so no new searches.... why would I want to get a new card if I don't have to?Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0
