One last thing, if you don't get the card. Your signature says you've got near enough £500 in a savings account and are due £100 from quidco. I appreciate you want to get to £1k in your savings account but you would be better off if you paid that £600 off the ridiculously high interest credit card and put all your money there until it was cleared. Then start saving using what you've been paying to the credit card.0

I see what u mean however i'm in desparate need of that £ for something that I cant put off any longer - see my diary; it'll explain the situation I'm in.

Bart Girl You should apply and see what happens but dont be surprised if you do not get the new card. I have a bad credit record and have applied for a new card after a letter from MBNA they said kindly no. I would advise you like Richard 019 said use you savings and pay off as much as you can.
A question Bart Girl is the £500/£1000 savings a life or death matter? if not dont worry pay off the cc debit then cut up the card and cancel the account and never bother with cc's again. You will live a long and happy life without them you will no longer have the worry of credit card debt which in turn will make you feel better an hence live a happy life. Do it today:AThats all folks

Hi =- sorry to butt in - Bart girl I hope you get things sorted - and this question is probably relevant to you if you get turned down by MBNA.
Do any of you know how much your credit applicationss have to be spaced out? (Martin says space them out, but not by how much! weeks?months?
Thanks!0 -

I am umming and arring about whether to apply for a British Telecom Card that is provided by MBNA. I don't have a good credit record, but all my accounts have been run perfectly for the last couple of years. I have a ccj though from 2006 for about £227 I think, paid and satisifed and two defaults, one satisfied, one I am paying off. Again both 2006.
I doubt I wll get accepted but I go a mailshot with a code to quote, and as it is run alongside my BT account which I have never got into trouble with, could be worth a punt?
My credit record can't really get any worse I suppose so not really much harm in trying.
I also have a credit card witn the halifax, good limit and all 000000000 which I have held for 9 years.
Can anyone advise?Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:0
