HI, I have a Barclaycard with just under £2000 owing on it. The APR 27%.
Is there anyway i can transfer to a card that i could BT over to. Or at least with a lower APR.
I am a mature third year student nurse. It concerns me on the application forms that employment income is asked for and gross income.
I can just about make repayments now.
Do you think it is worth applying for any of these deals. Thanks

Yes.
Look at Virgin or A&L as they are throwing money at customers at the moment they are both run by MBNA so you will probably be only able to apply for one of them Virgin has 0% BT offers for 15 months so that should really help with your financial situation. The down side is there is a charge to move the money a BT fee of 2.98% of the amount moved also you are only allowed to BT 95% of the balance.
This will leave £100 on your Barclaycard account.
BT £1900 to Virgin + fee £56.62 .
The monthly minimum payment will be £25 so first payment is £56.62+£25 and payments to Barclaycard until the £100 is paid.
As the Virgin payments are low you can just may the minimum for a couple of months while paying off the Barclaycard, then get rid off that card and concentrate in paying off the Virgin card.
Hope that example helps.Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0 -
