Hi All,
I wonder if anyone can offer some advice. My partner lives in a privately rented house with his 2 daughters and he claims income support and child benefit, full HB & CTB. I live in housing assoc house, have a son and i work 16 hrs a week and recieve WTC, CTC, no CTB and some HB. I am moving in with my partner but where do we start with claiming? I have used entitleto and it would appear that we would get an increase in child tax credits for my partners kids and I would get WTC but it would appear that my partner would get nothing? Does this mean he can then claim job seekers allowance just for himself? Who will claim the child benefit? We are completely confused and dont know where to start
hope someone can help

The child benefit claim shouldn't change at all ~ you just need to get in touch with them about the change of address.
You need to ring Tax Credits to claim as a couple and the 3 children will be on the same award.
I don't know about him claiming JSA for himself, perhaps give the job centre a ring and ask them?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
