Listing Fake Item

I PURCHASED A LACOSTE SHIRT IN A CHARITY SHOP TODAY THAT STILL HAD ITS TAGS ETC. I PURCHSED THE TOP TO WEAR MYSELF BUT WHENI ARRIVED HOME IT WAS TOO BIG FOR ME. i DECIDED TO LIST THE SHIRT ON EBAY BUT NOW HAVE SOME CONCERNS. MY PARTNER HAVING STUDIED THE SHIRT FEELS IT MAY BE A FAKE AS THE QUALITY SHE FEELS IS NOT UP TO SCRATCH AND THE LITTLE CROCODILE LOGO DOES NOT SEEM TO BE SOWN ON CORRECTLY IE HAND STITCHED ETC. (sorry caps lock on)

Having looked at the item a little closer I tend to agree. I feel that because of our doubts it would be unwise and unfair to list as genuine Lacoste. However a friend states that you can list such items without stating genuine Lacoste but surely this goes against Ebay policy as when listing it states are you sure this is authentic . Any ideas? Thanks

It would be illegal to sell it. If you sell it and get caught out you will lose your reputation.

Yeah, go round to the charity shop and ask them to explain themselves.

why dont you just take it back and get your money back from the charity shop. sorry but i dont understand, at least point out to the charity shop that it could be fake, they might have sold a few on and probably totally unaware.
