I need to save 6K over two years, I've already got 1K, whats the best solution?

I need to save up around 6k to go travelling, me and my mate plan to go in Spring 2010, im still in college and will only be able to start full time work until mid-september.
Started looking for full time jobs, found a few which will pay well enough for me to put £250 away a month and worked it out on the ISA calculator and it works out well time wise and money wise.
But I was wondering what the best option regarding an ISA seeing as I've already got £1,000 to save?
All help is appreciated!
