Hot water system with Gas Central Heating

Changed to gas a few years ago. Piping hot water in an instant.
But recently, the bath water is not running as hot as it should be. The sink in the bathroom is fine, as are all the other upstairs and downstairs taps and shower.
I can't understand that if the water all comes from the same source, that one tap is letting me down.
Anyone got any ideas how to sort this?
Preferably without the aid of a call-out fee!

Hi well-medicated,
The experts on the In My Home board should be able to help with this so I'll move your thread across for you.

Perforated mixer tap allowing cold water to mix with the hot.
Possibly.0 -
The hot tap is turned on and running on it's own without any cold.:jI gave up jogging for health reasons; my thighs rubbed together and my knickers caught fire!0

If it's a mixer tap then you have no way of knowing if there is an internal perforation or not. Unless of course you get symptoms exactly like yours.0

Ok, that sounds like a plan. I'll see if I can get the tap off.
Now I'm realising that a bath with centre taps may not have been the best idea I've had!!
Thanks for replying

No need to take the tap off, turn off the cold supply to your boiler, this will stop the hot water. open you hot bath tap, there should be no flow.
Then wait and see if you get cold water leaking through.
Personaly i have only ever seen 1 tap do this in over 20 years, if the bath is piped up in 22mm more likely to be aireating.A thankyou is payment enough .0 -

What does that mean, and more to the point, how much is it going to cost me?:jI gave up jogging for health reasons; my thighs rubbed together and my knickers caught fire!0
