I had to download Real player today and now it seems that I am unable to watch videos online:mad: . When I go to watch a youtube video I am told:
Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.
Because everything was fine before I downloaded Real I am assuming that this problem is a result of that in some way.
I had no problem watching said Youtube vid this morning, and I have updated Java, and it was always enabled. I downloaded the flash player it instructed me to (same as I had previously). Restarted my machine, and still have the same problem.
Any ideas guys,
Thanks in advance,
MrsB.

is there a settings menu with real player?
Possibly it is set to play flv . If it has the option, try unticking .flv .
Sometimes when you download a new player it will make itself the default and if the website is expecting something to play a different way it might just not play at all.0 -
Thanks that sound quite likely,
I have done a system restore (luckily there was a point from this morning), but the problem is still there (and I don't appear to have real player any more...)

try clicking start, control panel, internet options click advanced tab, scroll down until you find multimedia and make sure play videao in webpages is ticked.
Also play sounds in web pages should be ticked.0 -
