Thunderbird is automatically moving some emails to the junk folder (including Martin's Newsletter) that I don't want so moved. How do I tell Thunderbird that certain emails should not be junked in future?

Don't have thunderbird on this computer so I can't check but I think if you right click on the message in the junk folder there should be an option like "mark as safe" or similar, select this and it moves it to the inbox and it shouldn't happen again.0

There should be a button on the main toolbar for "not junk" or "junk" depending if the email you've selected is currently marked as junk or not.
There's also a keyboard shortcut, J marks the selected mail as junk, shift+j marks it as not junk. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -
Right Click each message in the junk folder and mark as not junk if its not junk .
Go to tools > options >privacy >junk> RESET TRAINING DATA
