    Hi,
Has anyone let their child (14/16) go unaccompanied on Ryanair?
If so, how did it go?
    Many thanks

Oddly enough my niece and nephew have just arrived from sweden, aged 14 and 16, freaky ehh!!

Anyway they had to produce a letter saying that they could fly alone, also their mum was with then when they checked in at gothenburg. They seemed to get on fine and funky I dont think much can go wrong once they are past the local security peeps, just make sure you have your mobile on and they have money and your number just in case.

    all the best

    Ryanairs rules:

Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied minors (under 14 years). Escort and special facilities are NOT available. Ryanair will carry unaccompanied minors aged 14 or 15 years ONLY upon completion and signature of a Form of Indemnity at check-in of EACH departure airport, by a parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 14 years must always be accompanied on the same reservation by a passenger over 16 years.
Unaccompanied minors aged 14 & 15 years travelling must present the required valid photo-ID at check-in. The parent or guardian of the unaccompanied minors, are required to remain in the airport until the flight has departed.

    Easyjet states:

Children under 14 years of age cannot travel unless accompanied by a person aged 16 years or older who will take responsibility for the minor.

This implies 14 to 16 year olds are not treated any different from any other passenger.

No, you haven't done anything to upset me, it was intended as a tongue in cheek rhetorical question as I personally found it a little odd that as a travel agent (with, you now say, 10 years experience) that you

    1. didn't know whether Zoom airlines were in administration or not
    2. this, despite the fact that there is a large thread on the front page entitled 'Zoom in Administration' (or similar), and
    3. you didn't bother to read the post above yours before commenting as you would have realised that the Zoom subject was done and dusted months ago and the thread had been resurrected with a new query about Ryanair.

I would have thought knowledge of the industry and attention to detail would be pretty important, it doesn't look too promising when you are trying to get business on here (just imho, of course.)

I'm not arguing with you, merely stating my opinion, after all, you have recently said:
as i am a travel agent i think i should therfore know more about the business than someone who doesnt work in travel
