Company car driver using other vehicles

Hi,
I am a company car driver. Until recently I also had a private vehicle and the insurance on that allowed me to drive any vehicle with third party and public liability cover. I now only have a company car. I have to occasionally drive various other cars where I am not a named driver on the insurance policy, typically in situations where getting yourself named as a driver on that insurance wouldn't be realistically possible. With my private car insurance I had the legal minimum cover. I now discover that my company car insurance does not offer this facility. Rubbish if you ask me. Anyway, is there a stand alone product that covers this situation ? I guess it's a 3rd party cover for me to drive any car but no car in particular. All advice is appreciated.
Cheers.

Almost all, if not all, commercial motor insurance policies exclude driving other cars cover.
May I ask exactly why you would frequently find yourself needing to drive other cars without it being practical to add yourself to the existing policies? It's usually straightforward to add yourself as a temporary additional driver.0
