Last year we paid £27 a month for buildings and contents insurance with 6k personal possesions cover.
Our renewal notice comes and its increased to £45 a month!!! Nearly double.
I do a new quote online and it comes in at £26, so I phone Tesco up. The girl tries to fob me off saying its cheaper on net etc etc, have you put your personal possesions cover online etc etc etc, then puts me through to the cancellation team!
They have matched the online quote.
Please tell everyone to check renewal notices as I'm sure that there are many people who would just file it and carry on paying more!

I bought tesco insurance last year .This year the premiun increased so I moved elsewhere .I then received a letter from Tesco saying they had tried to take a payment from my card ? but the bank had refused it .
The bank where correct to refuse the payment as I hadnt authorised it but why did tesco try to take the payment ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Did you actually tell them to cancel the policy? Chances are it was on a auto renewal, so they would have been perfectly entitled to take the payment.0
