how do i tell what memory my pc has?

Can someone please tell me how I find out what memory capacity my PC has? Hard drive an otherwise.
I am buying a new one and want to compare memory.

    I take it your running Windows, to find out your hard drive capacity, got to My Computer, Right Click your hard drive, then click on properties. You will then see your hard drives capacity.
    You can't con an honest man!

    When it boots up the info might whizz past xxxxxxxKB or MB

    Else, in Windows right-click the Desktop, "My Computer" icon and it'll be there under System Details.

    if you log onto https://www.crucial.com there is a free piece of software that scans your pc's memory and tells you exactly which memory you need.
    You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.

    crucial suggested i to easily gather information about your system, view system speeds and individual memory module details we recommend CPU-Z. CPU-Z is free to download, easy to use and can help you find out the following information about your system;

    1. Processor name and vendor
    2. Core stepping and process
    3. Processor current core voltage Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier
    4 .Partial over clock detection
    5. Processor features, including supported instructions sets L1 to L3 cache information: location, size, speed, technology
    6. Motherboard information: name, vendor, BIOS, chipset, memory, AGP
    7. Memory information: size, type, timings, specifications

    To use, download the latest version, extract all files from the zip to your hard drive and run the file cpuz.exe.

    You can also gather a lot of information about your PC software and hardware with Belarc Advisor (http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html) which is free to use.

    Click on Start Icon
    Select "Run"
    at open command type "WINMSD"


    This utility will summerize all hardware info in regard to your PC
