Spending money for day trip to paris

Hi,

I'm going to paris for the day next week Friday with my mum. Can anyone suggest how much spending money to take please? I have already purchased tickets for the L'open tour bus, and will mainly be using that to get around.
Whilst we're out there we will have lunch and dinner, and will buy just a few souvenirs.

Also, do you suggest that I get some euros now or use my Barclays debit card to withdraw cash in Paris as and when I need it.

Many Thanks in advance :cheesy:

How are you getting there? I want to go in May for the day, and the best i can find from East Midlands to Paris CDG was £65 return.

I'm going via Eurostar from Kingscross in London. I managed to get a bargain, I paid £90 - the deal was 2 return tickets for £90. I found the link on the travelzoo website at the end of february.

Paris is an extremely expensive city. If you want lunch and dinner and a bit of spending money I would recommend that you take around £150 for the day. 5 years ago a large beer (2 pints) and a diet coke was £12. With the euro as it is now I would expect it to be worse!

Oh my, that is expensive! With the pound being at an all time low against the euro at the moment, I can't imagine how much that would cost now
