Halifax Easycash

We currnently have Halifax Cardcard cash with Electron Card and want to split our money into an account for Direct Debits and an account for groceries and day to day money. This needs to have debit card as well and was thinking of a Halifax Easycash.

We cannot get a current account with debit card asjust finsihing IVA so would not pass credit check, We are happy enough with Electron as been using it for years and now accepted almost everywhere that has chip and pin. Another benefit is that we can just transfer money instantly online the money not needed to DD which is OUR money.

Does anyone know if Easycash do credit check? I have had Halifax Cardcash from before my debt days and started to use it after having to close my other current account when we started IVA.

Yes you will get an Easy Cash account, I did and I could not get an account anywhere other than here.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I don't think they take credit checks into consideration. I opened a HBOS Easycash account relatively painlessly (I had issues with a non-readable pin number which is now resolved.)

It's one of the easier accounts to open. It does take a while to sort it all out though. Be prepared for several weeks to a month of waiting before the account is finally all dealt with. Also, make sure you deposit £10 into the account once you get your account number and sort code before you attempt to activate the card or do anything else related to the account.
  • Another account you may want to have a look at is LTSB basic account.

This account comes with a full Visa debit card and not an electron like Halifax.

No problem here with a credit check just need to to ID into the branch. Only down side is you can only withdraw money from a LTSB cash machine
