    Like most other banks...
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Are the independant cash machine providers part of LINK?

I avoid them myself but have seen them in pubs and at petrol stations.

I thought they were on LINK network though.

If not, then its a double charge like we had a few years ago then people revolted and the double charging was stopped.

Poor banks getting squeezed from all angles so charges are on the way up.

Those privately-owned machines are usually on the Link network. I guess that just means that A&L won't charge you, but the cash machine will do.

With regard to A&L, there's nothing new, as Proliant says, except that their fees go up very slightly on 1 June.
