Just found this - love the positive title!
Was thinking this week - my union has called for a strike in a couple of weeks over pay. Now, I've gone on strike once before over conditions when I was in London and am torn about what to do in this situation. While I agree that all wages should rise in line with inflation, I am also very aware that I get a very good wage and others who work just as hard and even harder don't so am in a quandary really. I am not sure that it appropriate to strike for this. OH is impossible to talk to about it as he just doesn't 'get' the whole union thing and my feelings about it all. Hmm....will have to have a good think about this one!

My union too. Luckily I'm on maternity leave as I would have struggled with the decision - that's why I deliberately abstained from voting - didn't feel it was fair to make others strike when I wouldn't be doing it myself. I think if I had been at work though I would probably have gone with the union decision - not that I really understand the whole union business(especially with baby brain!!)

Hey Sea
Lovely to see a nice new diary. Your SOA looks good to me, and now you have changed suppliers you should be a little better off. Just think its really not long until you are debt free and just keep in mind that extra £1000 odd that you will have every month...imagine what you will do with it!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

hi all
I know - the thought that one day that will be the family money to save for what we really want is very motivating!!
Well today is day three - no drinking AND no smokingDidn't want to say yet again before as I've tried so many times!!! I have been inspired by Taxi and so have given it another go. I've woken up this morning with a really sore throat and WARNING TMI COMING UP i think I have some weird kind of ulcery thing at the back of my throat. Not sure what's that about.
So, not much planned today, done a few surveys this morning, need to do usual house things - loads of washing to be done from the weekend and the house could do with a general spruce up! Looks like a good day for line drying.
Hope everyone is good today
