As per the site it is not free
That site appears to let you generate your unlock code for free, then charges you for the INSTRUCTIONS as to how to unlock your phone. This works the opposite way to here in the UK where you are charged for the code (if it's a PAYG handset under 12 months old) and you get the unlock instructions for "free".

To be honest, if you can get hold of the unlock code for free, it's probably not that difficult to find out the instructions for free by doing a bit of hunting around - I'm fairly sure there are people on the MSE mobiles board who will know the procedure for unlocking most Vodafone mobiles if you already know the unlock code. ;)

  • Never pay the cash to the scammers on Ebay who claim they'll unlock your phone for £1.99, get yourself to the mobiles thread on this board and ask for advice first.

In most of the ebay offers the terms and conditions say "if the code doesn't work - tough". Avoid.

    Cheers

This website hasn't got a bad idea - put on a half decent deal - beef it up by saying they can only buy it once only today to make people think they will miss out else - add a few really low price deals (that I suspect only a few people will actually get) every now and then to keep people coming back

Reminds me of the auction scams where they put up one low deal that everybody clambers for and then quickly follow with a not so good deal that everybody still clambers for as they think 'I missed out on the last deal, better make sure I jump on this one quick'

awww, since you said it, stphnstevey, around 8 years ago, I fell for the auction scam. Paid around 250 pounds for something I never used later:mad:

Live to learn, if the deal seems too good to be true, it surely is.;)
