my vendors did just this when i bought my house on the market at 165,000 and i offered (cheeky i know) 150,000 (i didnt expect them to go for that but to get into negociation on the price) we settled on 152,500 (i was gobsmaked ) this was on the day the property went on the market and it was a done deal by lunchtime!! one other person viewed the property and a week later offered full asking price but they declined as far as they were concerned it was a done deal as i had already had a survey!! thankfully!!
