Do i need car insurance ?

Hi be greatful for any help, i haven't passed my driving test yet got second one in may, but i have got a car outside in the car park- i have registered it as of road , i paid insurance on it last year but was wondering do i really need it if i'm not going anywhere thanks

ok, i got insurance, left it on the drive for a year whilst learning, then cause no claims i got cheap insurance, my advice buy& insure old banger on drive let insurance kick in after 1 year change car but ... cheaper insurance worked for me.
totally debt free:j and mortgage free too 20100
