50% off Home Insurance with Lloyds TSB

I went into Lloyds TSB today and was told that starting today they are giving their customers 50% off Home Insurance. You have to be a customer but if you're not you can solve this by opening an account with £1. Don't know how long this offer is on for but was told the quotes were valid for 3 months. I think it is only available in the branch so not online.

You need to change the title of the post as it is misleading (or you have been told porkies).
I understand from their website that the deal is that if you take out Buildings and Contents cover out then you get 50% off the contents premium (not 50% off the lot.)
As far as I am aware it does not specifically say that you have to be a LTSB customer for this only that you have an account capable of having a D/D to pay the premium.0 -
I asked LTSB for a quote earlier in the week against a supposed 65% offer and there quote was no different to the other main providers.
Dark in here, is't it...0
