Halifax Mortgages....Anyone been Offered anything good?

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone out there has recently got any good deals out of the Halifax?

Our fixed term mortgage with them is coming to an end in June  and thought I'd see what they can offer before shopping about for others. I've seen the figures online but wondered if anyone had got anything better than the widely published rates?

If so could you share as I'd love to know figures.

Thanks;)

NOT Halifax. They sell Halifax products too, you know. Save yourself time and money.

I've just remortgaged with them - they gave me 5.64% for a 3 year fixed and £999 as arrangement fee. They also had a 5.54% for 5 years same fee. This was 7 days ago

We looked at Halifax only a few days ago

    Fixed for 5yrs

    5.59% £499 fee
    5.49% £999 fee

We decided to go with the abbey in the end

    5.59% £499 fee
    free valuation/survey
    £250 cashback

as we were already with them they didn't need any wage slips or id. The offer went straight through to the mortgage center and the surveyors are coming out this week :T

Everyone is a mortgage broker these days

Isn't the market too large and people's circumstances too different to simply quote random percentages? :o

Martin's advice is to go to a fee free, whole of market broker.
