Hi my agrreed overdraft has gone beyond agreement due to bankl charges i agreed to pay the extra off monthly but this week had to cancel the monthly payment due to lose of job i rang the halifax and they would put hold on for 2 weeks today i spoke to the head office arrears to re set monthly payments but ran out of credit so went into branch the assisant held on for 35 minutes trying to get through i rang and she was so rude i rang again and asked for manager and agian lady on phone was very rude think woman before put notes on was told as i had cancelled agreement they would have to double the payments this was eventually as was told i had no agreement for the first 10 minutes anyway am now so hacked off with halifax and the stress n hassle they causeing me wanted to know if u have an agreed overdraft can u still claim back charges the only reason it went over the agreedoverdraft in first place was because of charges like itwould of meant them paying a pound out for me so they cancel dd and charge me 39 i have even had it when its been 1p short many thanks

Most decent banks will sympathise and will not enforce charges caused by charges. £39 is obscene ,
I would suggest you write to them and ask the manager to call you.
Explain the circumstances including the fact that they bounced a payment which would have taken you £1 over your limit.
You will however have to be prepared to reay the overdraft in full as part of the outcome. If you keep the overdraft likely they will keep adding the charges.0
