You won't get any cash back or rewards or anything for that matter if you plan to cancel the card after 14 days.
Your best option would be to get a credit card from Nationwide or Post Office as those cards do not charge foreign transaction commission. Once you are approved for a CC, the record stays on your credit report for six years even if you've settled (close) the account. So, you may want to keep the card active but avoid using it after the holidays.
Otherwise, there is a more expensive route which is prepaid Master Card, the most well known brand out there is CashPlus and Tuxedo etc. Do some Google research and find out the fees.
Have fun in Florida!0 -

We went to Florida last year. I got a new Virgin Credit Card, as you get discounts on a Virgin Holiday.
Have a look at the website, for more info:-

Hope you enjoy your holiday, we loved it
Or alternatively you could get an Airmiles Credit Card, I just changed my Virgin Card to Lloyds TSB Airmiles, as it's 0% interest for 6 months.

Or try a prepayment card like FairFX - no credit check, $2 fee for ATM withdrawal, top conversion rates, none of that Dynamic Currency Conversion malarky that Nationwide is prone to:

Their rates aren't as good as Nationwide or the Post Office. Plus Nationwide isn't prone to the 'dynamic currency conversion malarky' more than any other card - including the Fairfx card - as it's a fiddle carried out by the merchant and is nothing to do with which card you are using at the time. Always insist on paying in the local currency, however you are paying.realaledrinker wrote: »Or try a prepayment card like FairFX - no credit check, $2 fee for ATM withdrawal, top conversion rates, none of that Dynamic Currency Conversion malarky that Nationwide is prone to:
