Have you told them you will swap supplier, assuming you have been with them long enough or are not in debt?

    Hi sinbads,

what prices are you paying for your units and how many (at each rate) are you using?

Depending on your tarrif, the "break even" (i.e. the point at which you're better off on E7)can be as low as 10% of units used at off-peak.

I think (technically) the meter is owned by the distribution company in your area - i.e when you ask BG to change, they will just get the local distributer to do it.

I have seen on other threads that some companies will change to a normal tarrif and just add the 2 readings together like you say, but I don't think all will....
 I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

I can't tell which units they are - what you're on or want to change to - do you have both sets?

Either way, looks like you are using less than 1 E7 unit per day to around 10 normal units. So "probably" unlikely you will break even on that. Have you just had gas fitted or something?
