No ITV ???

For some reason we can't get iTV on our downstairs tele but we can on the portable upstairs. OH wondered if it was anything to do with the fact we've got freeview downstairs. I don't understand it at all........surely if the channel comes through on a little portablle it should on all the teles.

Portable upstairs i take it is not freeview . Therefore receives tv signal on old analogue broadcasts.
TV down stairs freeview box receives digital broadcasts .
It may need retuning .Or aerial may be damaged /out of line .

Same problem here. I'm in swansea and I'm re scanning my freeview and the ITV channels have gone.I've never had problems with the signal before so I don't think it's that. Would someone who lives in Wales like to rescan to see if it happens to them? Thanks.0

I get this the other way round. We have a tv with freeview included both upstairs and downstairs, but occasionally ITV and it's associate channels, ITV2 etc go off upstairs. If I re-scan the TV they come back on, so maybe it is as OP says and they are doing work in your area.If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
