Overdrawn!!!

I have had many many charges because I have gone overdrawn, what I have done now is move all my direct debits and stopped my salary going into this account. Most of the charges have been applied with notification or letter from the Abbey. Most of the charges have been through Visa and the bank say they honour these transactions although they keep paying these after I have gone overdrawn. Some of them are wrong. My statement does not add up, is it a real reflection of the activity...?
No I have an overdraft of £2000, with over £300 of charges on it, with amnother £160 to go on which some are wrong. I have wrote to complain and received a reply apologising, but an investigation is pending and I will hear within 28days. The fact is although I have paid charges over the years, enough is enough now, and I have not paid the charges this time. I do want to pay my overdraft but not the charges...help!!! Have I done the right thing?

How do you mean they are 'wrong'?
If they were incorrectly applied to your account then call your bank as it's an error, a totally separate issue from the test case.0 -
when i say wrong, they have rejected direct debits when there was money in gthe account according to the statement. Aren't all charges unfair no matter how they come about...?0
