Have to say as the "third who is funding HIS (HIS??????!) trip to NZ", the tesco statement is making me a bit nervy. I still am not yet holding this months CC mailing in my sticky little hand, but the points were all still on my account 14 Aug prior to starting the CC mailing process.
Even though I still have all the receipts (like a good MSEr), I can't take the goods back for a full refund from tesco as I'm assuming the homeless of Coventry have eaten it all by now...Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Interesting. Oh well I suppose I shouldn't feel too upset that I can't fit any more in my freezer.0

I am now considering cancelling my order of 510 packets due for collection on Friday. This order will cost me £331. I had intended to give most of the beef away to homeless shelters and an old peoples home.
Surely if a manager in a Tesco's store has ok'd the order and knows why I have made the order (as in my case) it would seem reprehensible that they would not issue the points
The weird thing is that he wouldn't let me take the 30 they had in store today quoting something about bulk purchases and other customers, but was happy enough to let me place an order for the 5100 -
I am very worried.
I have had my very annoyed dad on the phone tonight. I told him about the beef offer and he has been out everyday buying it up for a summer holiday next year.
Well today he phoned Cosmos to just check that they will take whole payment in vouchers. He went through a few holidays that he had seen and they had no availability. He did this with a few countries and when he finally found one that was not fully booked the guy on phone quoted him £200 more that brochere price.
My Dad very upset coz he can book a holiday with another company for much less than Cosmos anyway.
Do you think they are putting extra price on when they know you paying with deals tokens or are we just being paranoid?
I used Leger this summer to go to Disneyland Paris with no problems and have also phoned Bridge to ask availabilty on a break out of the Amsterdam travel services brochere again, this appears to be trouble free.
I am really worried now, coz bro also saving for an all inclusive holiday in Cyprus next summer.
I am going to be very unpopular if they can't get anything0 -

Ultimate gifts/Natural Wonders/Dive to the Titanic might take some beef though at £28,450.00 .0 -
I'm not denying Tesco have a right to remove points earnt by customers illegitimately, but I'd be surprised they could do so just by normal buying. Even bulk buying is still normal behaviour (within reason).
However, even if they can do so, I would imagine they would be legally bound to refund all money paid to acquire the goods, whether receipts can be provided or not. After all, at the time of purchase, customers were nver advised that normal purchasing behaviour could result in points not being allocated.
In my opinion there is just one case, that is publicised, on this site of someone not adhering to normal purchase behaviour.
One thing is for sure, this is the end of similar offers. Never again will Tesco offer bonus points so cheaply. In fact I doubt we'll see bonus points that are greater than 1/4 of the price of the product.0 -
Well I got a til receipt offering 25 points on a £1 spend on biscuits tonight, so you never know!Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

i am a little worried as well about getting my points taken away, but dont think tesco will do this as they would get a very bad time off the papers if they took away the points.
never mind all the hassel they would get with people complaining
i think it's just to put people off buying loads more.0
