The 'genie' SIM cards are just another way of describing the free online SIM cards from 02 which offer the 300 free texts every month.

You can get 4 free HERE probably only available today, although these giveaways happen once a month.

I think 02 used to call these Genie cards although they don't anymore.

Golden numbers are really memorable numbers (e.g: where the same number is repeated a lot or has funny combinations repeated within the number like 07696969 or 07999999 etc etc.)

When o2 was called BTCellnet there was another network called genie which used BTCellnet. When the network became o2 the seperate network became part of it. I think they are called genie sim cards now becuase they offer a similar tarrif to what the orginal genie did.
  • thanks jo-b and Helix,
it was simplier than I thought, so genie does not really mean anything, great I can go ahead and bid now on the ones with out genie in the knowledge that I won't be missing out, and the golden numbers are just easy to remember numbers! well I will remember all these tips I get from this board!
