erh..do a plaster or render?

Hi all.

Just got the double glazing done in the porch and am thinking of sorting out the internal brick walls in there.

I previously painted them in white but now want a smoother finish and thus have decided to plaster/render.

What I am unsure about is which one I do.

The internal walls are prone to dump and the odd bit of water so I am thinking of using Browning plaster (perlite).

I was looking at some guides but they mention rendering after I plaster.

Can any please tell me, do I need to render after plastering or can a render the brick work with plastering??

Browning plaster is not waterproof and is very absorbent!

I would render the walls with mortar, containing some lime to help with thermal movement and some waterproofing addative, which will make the render waterproof!

Then apply a final coat of thistle multi finish!

I wouldn't use browning or bonding plaster in damp areas!
