marital status on CV advice please

I'm just writing a CV for the first time. What I'd like to know is should you include your marital status and if you are living with a partner how should you describe it? Simply 'living with partner'?
Thanks

    Co-habiting

Not sure I would bother including it really!

  • I agree with davetrousers - leave it off, very last season.

Remember, on a CV unlike an application form, you have control over what you want to tell people.

If you still lived at home with your Mum and Dad, what would you put then??? Just leave it off.

No,need for sarcasm! Last time I applied for a job ( last century )you were asked your marital status. So it's not as stupid a question as you may think.
  • No need to put it on. Might actually be better not to. Just stick to the very basics. You might be able to get some CV advice online.

    Good luck with your search.

Just so you know you don't need to put your DOB on there anymore either

Nor do you need to put dates when you went to school/college/uni - stops them working out how old you are!
