Just came back from a preview screening of Iron Man at the Odeon Leicester Square, tickets I won thanks to elski 5. Iron Man is an action film and as such a proper blokey film, but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed it, having suspended all disbelief about how one man can create something like that in an Afghanian desert.

Robert Downey Jr. was just brilliant, he carried the whole film and played Jeff Bridges effortlessly against the wall (and Gwyneth Paltrow, who high-heeled prettily through the film, screaming now and then).
Robert Downey Jr. is very funny and the audience laughed and clapped quite often, there also was a lot of clapping at the end.

I wanted to give the film an 8, the OH a 9, so we settled for a solid 8.5/10.
    Reclaimed thanks to this site:

That's a shame - I couldn't get Wimbledon but I have got Croydon so not a problems. It would have been easier to get to though.

If you need tickets I have 2 spare for Croydon Grants on the 8th May 2008.

    Just let me know.

Thanks, that's really kind but it's a bit too far, I was hoping that they maybe hadn't released the west end ones yet, I'll keep trying.

    Thanks again :T

Did anybody manage to get any for the London screenings? Just wondering if they haven't been released yet.

    Thanks
  • how do all the tickets get snatched up sooo quickly? im still on only 2 previews coz im always too late in getting tickets and yet whenever i go to the screenings, there are loads of empty seats (in glasgow). :( it was certainly much easier to get tickets last year.
