FE, I concur with Beate but I think I can see your "confusion" over a screening on this date.
The VERY FIRST line (after Hello Xxxx Xxxx) of the SFF emails regarding The Rocker is ....
A chance to see this film before it opens in cinemas on 17th October 2008
... so I can see where you have seen this date.
However the important bit is "it opens in cinemas on 17th"
That being the case there are NOT going to be any free previews on (or after) that date.
I can see that it is possible to read this statement 2 ways and, from what I can see, a bit of punctuation doesn't easily fix it.
It should say "This film OPENS in cinemas ON 17th October 2008. Here is a chance to see it beforehand"
whereas it can be read as (and I'm guessing you did)
"A chance to see this film ON 17th October 2008 before it opens in cinemas"
So don't worry that you've missed a freebie on the 17th - there never was one !
Hope this helps.

Thanks to Beate, I've got tickets for Burn After Reading on 15th October.
However, whether I print the confirmation in colour or black and white, the essential text such as date, venue, my name, is illegible. The print is too small to read anyway but there is too little contrast with the dark background. My printer never messes me around so I believe the problem is with the ticket. I've emailed TellTen about the problem but I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this and whether you have found a solution?
I've never had this problem with the regular SeeFilmFirst tickets.
yes me too actually - I printed it twice and was exactly the same both times ;-(you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0
