Oh sparky61, do tell about the premiere!

    Hi Beate,

It was brilliant, the film was really funny, 105 minutes long, we were in a really intimate 50 seater screen but it was absolutely freezing, I asked for the air con to be turned down and it seemed better for a while and then it got cold again
Oh and a really short red carpet :D

Edith Bowman did the commentary/star chat and this was beamed onto the screen before the movie started, then she came into the screen to introduce Simon and Gillian and then they introduced the movie, they were very down to earth, we had the typical complimentary popcorn and bottle of water, personally, I'd have preferred a blanket :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Score 8.5/10
  • If anyone has any spare tickets to see Burn After Reading in Liverpool, please PM me...
  • Every screening I've been to, that has been allegedly "full", has been no more than 2/3 full. !!!!es me off.

I had the same thought but unfortunately this is not going to work. I just read the t&c's and it clearly states that you need 2 or 4 DIFFERENT tokens, so if you need 2 you can't just buy today's paper twice, and if you need 4 you can't just buy today's paper four times or today's and tomorrow's paper twice I am afraid, as they are individually numbered. This also means that the earliest people are going to be able to exchange vouchers for tickets is tomorrow.

Agree about the 2 or 4 tokens today on a single coupon. Need to be different numbers.

But no problem getting 4 tickets tomorrow with 2 of today's and 2 of tomorrow's tokens.

You just need to get 2 tickets with the 2 different tokens (today & tomorrow) on 1 coupon, but do it TWICE - either at the same time claiming it is for someone else (relative, friend etc.) or get a relative , friend etc. to redeem the 2nd coupon if there is an issue (as I mentioned - T&Cs say "1 coupon per household")
My brother did the 2 x 2 tokens on 2 coupons (picking my pair up for me) at Cineworld Nottingham for The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas on the "same" offer last month.

I didn't think I was chatting, I was providing information preventing people from stockpiling today's Telegraph, just as you were posting this morning reminding everyone of the first token in today's paper. Nevertheless, I agree with what you are saying but you might have to go twice or go with someone else who clutches 2 tokens while you clutch the other 2. :)

  • I hope I had read that "chat" beforehand I already bought two papers for nothing.
I just called West India Q and they don't have any tickets as yet!
So, we might as well wait until tomorrow and collect the second voucher.
On the upside I just gave up some Pokemon tkts because I already won a comp for the same thing! Typical!:p

Yes I appreciate that. I was only sort of kidding - hence the :rotfl:

I thought long and hard before posting the reminder but decided that anyone who wanted these (and forgot) and missed getting a 80p DT today would quite possibly end up buying one or more of Sat/Sun editions at £1.60/£1.90

Problem is of course, that if someone responds (as I did) on that thread (and not this one), and then someone responds (as you did) on that thread (and not this one), suddenly a conversation has started and the codes thread is filling with "chat" however useful the intention - even from people of a reserved nature , high moral standards & restraint, and with a desire not to break the rules .......

    ...... just like us :rotfl:

Haha, well in this case I think we both can be excused - I too posted a reminder on FMUK independently from yours as I know people can be forgetful, including myself!

I am quite looking forward to next Monday and Tuesday, two previews at one of my fave cinemas, how good is that?

West India Quay still hasn't got any tickets in and don't know when they will but the OH's name is now down for two tickets - don't know whether that means we can just turn up on the day or we have to get the tickets when they come in.... but we are going to be at the cinema anyway in the next day or two so will keep you posted.
