in a nutshell, I should transfer my £3K FROM NATWEST to A&L and sart up a new isa too, then review in 12 months...yes??

That's not the nutshell I would have gleaned?

Transfer your old ISA to the A&L 6.25% offering and then add your £3600 to it. Thereby keeping it all together and at what you currently deduce to be an optimum rate ..... then review it in a few months?

BUT ... if you have the £3600 available now? Then consider adding that to the NatWest one (if the transfer isn't actively underway) immediately (as that gives tax free interest earliest) and let the whole lot transfer to A&L?
