Need Micro System With Optical Input (I Think) Advice Too Maybe?

hi,
my son's got himself a nice new LCD telly, & he's very pleased with it
problem is, it only has an optical output & can't connect up to his ancient sound system

he's in a flat & would rather avoid surround if at all possible, so I think what we're looking for is a micro system with optical (Toslink) input (& headphone output)

I've Googled till my head hurts & can't seem to find anything does anyone have any suggestions? TIA

Chances are it has scart connectors, you can get a cheap and cheerful scart to phono adapter that would suit.

thanks for that, I'd never have thought of the scart option

I really like the look of the micro system, & he doesn't mind throwing a bit of money at getting a new one, but it it's looks like it's Toslink out only & I think it needs to have an input to accept signals from the telly

I'll see if I can get hold of one of those scart adaptors

Sorry, did not read the spec sheet properly on the Pure.
I haven't got one but have several of their DAB radios which are very good.

no problem, it's difficult reading through a list of specs in a hurry & I appreciate you taking the trouble
I've been looking for a nice DAB micro for myself, so I'm very tempted

I'm in the process of ordering up one of those scart adaptors, looks like it'll do the job nicely
